I've been watching the British Dragon's Den recently, and just made a - coincidental? - discovery.

The clock on the floor in the Den is stopped at 9:11. Deliberate? You decide.

What is wrong with Trump? Where did he dig up this cacophony of misfits and has beens?

Gotti, Ferigno, Pauli senior? Where the hell did he dig up this bunch of jokers?

Trump you're grasping, deep into the barrel, and you're coming up empty. What a bunch of losers!!

This will make television about as interesting as... no, wait, The Simpsons is actually more interesting!!

O'Leary's 'Apprentice' bites!

Kevin O'Leary's Redemption Inc. show is looking more and more like a rip-off of Donald Trump's The Apprentice.

First, he copies the 'dog spa' idea from season 2 of the apprentice (Barking up the Wrong Tree), and now the art show from season 7 (Painting by Numbers).

Do you have a single original idea in your head, O'Leary?

British dragons

A friend of mine and I got into a discussion about the British Dragon's Den. 

One pitch was from a company that manufactured submarine products. When they pitched the deal to the Dragons, the Dragons were less than forgiving.

My friend was outraged when all of the Dragons dropped out, leaving the pitchers with nothing. My friend said, "Damn that makes me angry! Why would they do that to them. They have such a great product, and the Dragons could make a lot of money from it!!"

My friend was right, they did have a great product. But, the Dragons aren't in the business of buying products. They invest in businesses... the submarine guys had no business model... didn't even understand how to drive the business further. They had some sales, and thought that was enough.

A business is so much more than just making a product and selling it, and the Dragons know that. Now, so does my friend. :)

Donald O'Leary

So Kevin O'Leary wants to be Canada's Donald Trump? Seriously? What a ridiculous idea, and an affront to Canadians.

O'Leary really will do anything to make money, including leeching off the back of one of the most successful men in the world. He's even stealing his ideas from The Apprentice! How many remember the dog wash in the park episode in The Apprentice? Well, guess what O'Trumpy is going to make the ex-cons do. By the way, there's no such thing as an ex-con... once a con, always a con.

O'Leary, give your head a shake. I thought you had class... instead you're just another class idiot out to take people's money any way you can. The $100,000 is just a short-term investment on what you see as a long-term ROI... paid for by Canadians, no less!!

What's next? The O'Leprah show? Maybe the LO'L network?
